What is it gonna cost?

l do not know where its leaking.

It has to have more each time its driven.

Sorry bud, but it is going to depend on where it is leaking to know how much it is going to cost to fix.

It could be as simple as a rear seal or pan gasket that may take 1/2 hour labor & a few $ for the seal / gasket.
Or it could be a front seal which means the tranny is coming out to fix.
That is a much larger job.

It could be even worse. maybe the case is cracked.

And if u ran it out or low on fluid, it may of overheated the internals & now u really need a rebuild or replacement tranny..

You should take it to a transmission shop or ur local mechanic to have it looked at. before it gets worse.

to see what it will cost. Can u do the work yourself
or will a mechanic do it for you? It could also be
the gasket where the pan bolts on to the transmission
body. Sometimes they leak. You should look
under the car for damage to the pan or elsewhere.
Have u hit any rocks or road debris lately?
Some auto stores sell a transmission ''stop leak''
It might be worth a try. It sounds like a beautiful

u need to kind of narrow it down a little bit to where its leaking at,if its a front pump seal & the transmission has to be removed it could cost around 350-400 bucks to get it fixed because they have to pull the transmission to get to it,all other leaks can be repaired with the transmission in the vehicle,that is why l said its real important that u try & narrow it down,if its leaking a lot its is more than likely a seal,and ever time u drive it ,the leak will get a lot worse on it,i cant estimate a cost exactly until u know for sure what it is good luck.

Try this, take it in to a locally owned transmission shop for a transmission fluid & filter change, they will find where the leak is coming from & let u know exactly what is wrong & you're out like 50-75 bucks. l am willing to bet that it being an older model truck its just the transmission pan that is bent or the gasket is rotting away, if so the service at the shop will take care of it. If its more you've got a professional transmission shop checking it over for you. Another thing to try would be taking it to a trade or tech. school, local technical colleges work on stuff like this & only charge u for parts.
