In my search,l have found the early, first generation Vipers had head problems....then l hear the newer ones have weak half shafts..(with 500 hp what would not be weak?)
Are there any Viper fans that can send me some tips on buying my first used Viper...

depending on the year of one u going to buy any of them r going to develop problems,the only thing l have seen from the newer ones or second generation was weak transmissions,and that was only on a few,and l think most of that was probably from abuse,really u cant judge any of them from their past problems because a friend of mine has a first generation one that has never had problem one from anything other than normal problems like brakes & routine maintenance,and this guy is not easy on vehicles he runs it at what it will do when he can,not all of them will give problems,s u may buy one & never have any major problems from it at all,i would listen for noise in any transmission on one,other than that do the regular checks that u do on a car before u buy it,good luck.
