l have a 1972 dodge chargerand im restoring it right now, im puttinga 440 in it , boring out the pistons, twin scoops on the hood, not sure what else yet, but its going to have atleast 600 hp when its rdy to race.but was wondering how it would do against a top of the line honda civic. also f you know the quartermile time my charger might do that would be great

off the bat i'd say the charger, but there are too many variables in this question. how tricked out is the civic? does he have a 2.2L engine, NOS, twin-turbo, an 85-pound driver, what? or are you just talking about a honda civic Si that just rolled out of the factory?

also, timing is a big factor in quartermile, so the driver has a lot to do with who wins. btw your charger l guess should do 12 is or 11's.

theres no substitute for cubes- the charger would smoke the little ricer and look better and sound better and be more fun to drive

you,d have to take in to consideration what gear the charger is going to be running under it,i have seen some mean running little ricers around & off the line it would probably take the charger but through 1/4 mile it would not be able hold a light to it,gear ratio means everything on a big block,so keep this in,mind,wait till ur done & try racing one,there is no way to figure ur time because ur not done building it,any guesses made now would probably be wrong ,you would win a race against a honda though,good luck.
