ok l have a 1988 dodge shadow es turbo and am wondering where l can find some sites or places to get performance parts for it including stuff like body kits turbo chargers and waste gates or cold air intakes and racing parts. it hasan automatic 2.2l turbo charged engine with a single over head cam. l am also looking for a double over head cam head for it. thanks.

There is still stuff available as far as engine internals from mopar performance. l will post the web site below. As far as turbo stuff l would try turbo city, l will post their site also. l am not sure there was ever a DOHC engine offered for these. The 2.2 & 2.5 turbos were pretty quick. l had several of these cars over the years & love them. l did things that people said could not be done to them. Good luck!

Now to dash some of ur hopes. The 2.2 T l in ur car is the weakest of all the turbo motors. Do not expect to make 16v DOHC hybrid motor using it. To build a 16v hybrid, u either use a 89+ common block motor in either 2.2 or 2.5. But right now the trend is leaning more to a 2.4 swaps.

Right now u best bet is to convert to a later intake/exhaust manifolds. Your early T l manifold is holding u back once u start doing any mods.

You really can not get body kits for our cars anymore. Cars r way too old. Your best bet is to try using 90+ OEM ground effects. The problem for u is recessed headlights. The front ends r different from 87-88, 89-90 & 91+

The best news, there is quite a huge aftermarket for the turbo cars. You have access to bigger turbos, hacked OEM ECUs, intercoolers, cams, header, LSD, solid motor mounts, forged pistons, forged rods & so on.

Another plus with turbododges. Alot of parts from other cars fit. My shadow has 11in brakes from a daytona. My transmission is from a daytona. l use to use a daytona intercooler/radiator in my shadow. l had the bigger OEM turbo from a daytona. My cam is from a TB l car. l removed A/C using parts from non a/c cars. Even a DOHC neon head will bolt on with some reworking of the oil passages. l use a MP neon short shifter.

My current shadow is pretty well built & ran 14.0 100mph. Now that I've added added another MP Super60 turbo. A 3in swingvalve to give full 3in exhaust turbo back. l expect to go faster. All this is tuned through the OEM ECU. l even have a 2.5T l motor with forge pistons sitting on the stand right now.
