the ecm bumps up the idle when the A/C comes on. factory setting.

It has to turn more electricity to run the pumps/condenser/fan.

the computer speeds the engine up when the engine comes under a load form the air conditioner,it was designed to be this way though if it did not it would bog it down a little,even the gas engines are designed to do this other wise at red lights and while in gear they would stall out ,same with a diesel engine,they use the same technology on those to control idle speed,good luck.
