it would not into reverse, the next day it did with no problem and now again today no reverse. Any help would be appreciated.

You're in for a complete rebuild soon. The trannys are notoriously weak in those vans. It is only going to get worse.

if l were you id try changing the fluid and filter on it before l had anything else done to it,i do not think it would work good one day and then not the next if it was going out,sometimes all they need is a fluid and filter change to correct problems like that,take it by any transmission shop and have them test drive it they,ll do this for free and give you their opinion on it,good luck.
