How do I check the freon level on a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan and where is it located

you have to have a set of gauges the blue connects to the suction side or low side, the red connects to the high side, if you arent farmilar with car hvac and havent bee ntrained then its not an easy fix. take it to car x. they will check your pressure and add refridgerant if needed. it dosent pour in like oil, its a little more complicated

The refrigerant (Freon) is a vapour. You can buy refill kits at stores. If you're from Canada, I'd say go to Canadian Tire & ask for a refrigerant refill kit. If you're from America, go to ur Canadian Tire equiv & do the same. It should come with a set of gauges. And it is pretty idiot proof.

The thing to remember is.. do not let moisture get inside ur AC system. If it does, you're gonna need to recover the refrigerant, attach a filter dryer, & pull a vacuum down to about 1000 microns. And unless you're a HVAC guy, you're not gonna be able to do those things.

Also the recharge kit u can buy is a propane cocktail. It will probably dissipate in a major crash, but it can be flammable.
