l have a 2003 Dodge Caravan l bought 6 months ago.When we first bought it, the dealership tried to program the wrong remote for the keyless entry.After that the lights would not flash anymore to lock and unlock the doors.They did not know the answer to how to fix it.So whatever fast forward to now.Now all my turning signals are not working.They are flashing inside but none are working outside.When l took it to the garage, they could not find anything wrong when they hooked it up to the diagnostic machine on Thursday, they were closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the holiday.They called me this morning, and said it was the Body Control Module and that is is not covered under my extented warrenty.They want 700.00 to fix it, for parts and labor.Someone told me it takes a few minutes to change.Does that part really cost that much?Any help or advice would be appreciated.

the part does not cost that much ,but unfortunately through them and they are the only ones that can do it,and that is the normal price for them to do that job,once done they have to program it for the car,you cant buy the part and install it and it work like it should,good luck on it,

If u r mechanically skilled, u could purchase a service manual anywhere but from the dealer. They dealer will charge around $100. You can find a third party service manual at around $30 dollars. You could then order the part yourself at a reasonable rate, or go to an auto wrecker & get the part for a lot less. With a service manual, & basic mechanical knowledge ( basically knowing how to use tools), u could change it yourself. Also check out dodgeforum.com & u will find many helpful people who can usually guide u step by step. Hope that saves some money for you.

l would check around. l am sure you could get a better deal somewhere else. l do not go to the dealer anymore they are a rip off!
