l would like to replace my automatic transmission on my 2003 dodge ram 25004x4 5.9L diesel with a manual transmision, 5 or 6 speed. l would like to know if is possible and if it is which one should l look for. Is it worth it?Thank a lot.

l own the same truck in a 6 speed man. and its not worth it. u need a new computer and the cost is way out of this word. u can build your auto up cheaper and make it stronger then a manual any day allison trannys for expample

Sorry no can do> Besides the auto with care will out perform the manual>IN most uses> Have 2 auto> Hope your is the 48re as that was the best>If you were to do this you would need a Donner truck with the diesel & trans> Clutch assemble drive shafts> crossbracess> computer different dash> The list is long best sell the auto & get a manual truck>
