It is being discontinued because it is an extremely poor seller.
Any manufacturer will discontinue a product that does not sell. That is how they stay alive.

Production of it ended in March.

it is the truth ,they are going to discontinue production of it,any car made has to sell so many cars before they can justify keeping it in production,and the magnum just has not sold that good,its not a rumor though they are actually doing away with it,it was a nice looking vehicle though,so maybe the ones out their now will become worth something,it could happen,good luck.

The market for a slight bit had a demand for station wagon type car. then they didnt sell. go figure. theres a reason they stop making them 20 years ago lol

The Magnum ( as well as a few other products such as the PT convertible and the Crossfire ) have been discontinued due to slow sales.

The company announced that it will eliminate four models through 2008, including Dodge Magnum, the convertible version (only) of Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler Pacifica & Chrysler Crossfire. In the same time frame, Chrysler will add two all-new products to its portfolio: the Dodge Journey & Dodge Challenger, along with two new hybrid models, the Chrysler Aspen & Dodge Durango.

“These actions reflect our new customer-driven philosophy & allow us to focus our resources on new, more profitable & appealing products,” added Jim Press, Vice Chairman & President. “Further, these product actions r all in response to dealer requests.”
