Hello,

l have a question, l have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L and the engine light came on, so l took it to autozone to have a test ran on it and the only code that came up on the PCM is P0161, which its saying it is the oxygen sensor 2 in bank 2 and my problem is l dont know which one is sensor 2 in bank 2. l took a picture of the sensors, the picture is taken from the back of the truck leading to the front of the truck on the drivers side

l have the sensors marked with red and green circles, can anyone please help and tell me which sensor is sensor 2 in bank 2, the red or the green and on which side the driver or passanger side

okay, l kinda get what everone is saying, l am not a big car person but l made a layout of the truck, lol haha dont laugh at it -=)

the 4 colors dots = the oxygen sensor, what color dot is the oxygen sensor 2 in bank 2?

The Blue?
The Green?
The Red?
or
The Yellow?

Unless they have changed the descriptions on the Rams, it is the passenger is side post-cat O2 sensor.

bank 2 refers to the number 2 cylinder bank. if ur plug wires r numbered, this is easy, as 2, 4, & 6 r on bank 2. if they're not numbered, then the cylinder bank farthest rearward is bank 2. if u look closely, u will see the cylinders r slightly offset, one bank is forward of the other. u will want bank 2 farthest rearward.

position 2 can mean one of 2 things. if u have an o2 sensor in an exhaust manifold, then position 2 is pre-cat, or the sensor directly in front of the cat. if there r no sensors in the manifold, u have position 1 in the pre-cat postion & sensor 2 is post cat, directly after the converter. be carful if you're diagnosing a post converter code, as sometimes this can mean the converter is not doing it is job correctly & may need replaced. if it is a heater code, however, this more than likely means the o2 sensor is at fault. let me know if u have any more questions

Bank Two Sensor Two is on the passenger side rear after the cat converter.IT IS THE YELLOW ONE.

Easy. Bank 2 is passenger side. O2 sensor is the one on the outlet of the catalytic converter. It is yellow in your diagram.
