Daimler Chrysler no longer exists. Chrysler is owned by the Cerberus Corporation. It is a privately held company. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge are all owned by them.

Like everyone said already.
Daimler owns Mercedes. Daimler used to own Chrysler, well it was a ''merger of equals'' and it was known as DaimlerChrysler. Daimler sold Chrysler to Cerebus. Now Cerebus owns Chrysler.

Daimler sold their share of dodge out a long time ago and its now under new owners, they still use the name but not for long, when the deal was in affect it was Daimler that bought a part of chrysler out, not chrysler buying Daimler out, good luck.

Not anymore.
The DaimlerChrysler corporation ceased to exist last year when Ceberus bought Chrysler from Benz. That was May, 2007.
