the 225 six cylinder was real good on gas but these days the v-6,s are a little cheaper on gas than the v-8s are,the 3.9 is a good example of that it gets pretty good mileage,good luck.

The 6 cylinder version of every pickup truck will often get better mileage than the V8. However, the difference is small enough that, for the power/towing capacity u gain with a v8, u might as well go with that. Some notable exceptions r the older motors referenced earlier.
