how many of you like the 2008 challengers and the 2009 challengers? l was thinking of getting an 09. which is better??. well actually in only 13 right now but it looks SHWEET. l love the ''retro'' old look to it. will they be making them better and better every year or should l start paying for it now that way l will have it bought when l turn 16?

Its the same car. The 08 is are long gone. Most likely so are the 09's.

first off this (new look) will be diminished very soon , the older cars in my opinion r much more beautiful these cars look mean , but theres nothing powerful about them , 290HP the rams put out more HP & more torque if u want to spend 60g on a piece of SH*T then buy it but if u like the looks of older cars buy the new plymouth cuda which will be unveiled in 2011 u can pre-order it & those cars will have minimum HP of around 360 so ur good to go & they will look much better & there also , re inventing the charger for the same year so l would buy the charger . im a huge dodge fan! good luck with that ....choosing a car!!

l work in a chrysler jeep dodge dealership & have had the oppurtunity (thank god) to drive the srt-8 challengers (as well as the se & r/t)

l must say that is some serious power. Not only r they beautiful but they r also technologically advanced. l have no figures to back me up, but l would tend to agree that the old muscle cars were more powerful than the new ones, however, the old muscle cars did not have the same technology the new challenger has. Besides, the brakes on the 70s muscle cars were horrible, borderline dangerous.

Cars tend to get better every year or every few years in general because the company will try to fix problems it has had with a car. For example, lets say that (hypothetically) many challengers had electronic failures/problems. In the next year or 2, dodge would try to fix that so as to have no more problems with the challenger, get it?

Now, the 2008 challengers were only srt-8 & there r only 500 in Canada. They r all sold out, that means that they r collection cars & r worth a lot. Even if u foudn someone willing to sell it, the price would be somewhere just shy of 100 000$ CND.

A 2009 challenger comes in 3 models, the se, the r/t, the srt-8

SE: 22000$ It has a 3.5L V-6 engine. Performance is average, it just has the body of a challenger.

R/T: More than u can afford (35000-55000$). Performance is very good. 5.7L V-8 engine

SRT-8: Way more than u can afford (over 60 000$). It has a 6.1L V-8 engine with extremely good performance.

l think u should think twice about getting a challenger. You will get into debt before u r 18. Not wise (except for student loans) & lets face it, u cant afford that, unless u wait a bit, work hard, make a lot of money & buy an SE. But the 3.5L V-6 only has average performances. However, since u were thinking of buying an 08 challenger srt-8 at 13 years old, this makes me believe u just like the looks of it, & an SE could be right for you.

l just hope u think twice before getting a challenger at 16. l am getting a caliber srt-4 & l am 18.
